#16 The journey

I wake up to the noises of birds natures alarm clock. I get up and sit on the edge of my bed. throwing the bear skin jacket I made on. My feet are cold from the wood floors on my cabin. As I walk to the kitchen to make my daily fix of coffee I glanced through my front window and see the meadow in front. It looks different today. Peaceful. It looks like its calling me. I see it every day but today it looks different.

#14 Persuasive Essay

If I was called to the office right now an asked my opinion about if this school should have uniforms what would I say? I would disagree because I personally see no point in having them at all. If everyone is the same then how can we express ourselves and show who we are. We are not the same so why should we dress like it? As long as us students are dressing appropriate we should be able to dress how we wont.

People are different thats a fact. There is a lot of people who have the same stuff in common but never two people will be the same . Everyone has there own style and attitude. Uniforms will cause more problems then they can fix. When your not able to feel like yourself then how can you be 100% yourself? Life is about growing up and making choices for yourself. What better way to find who you are than in your clothing. How a person dresses tells a lot about how they think and how they act.

There is problems with not having NO uniforms. Gang members find out who the other gang members are, girls hate on other girls because of how they dress and what popular brand they have. If people grew up and realized how stupid they are for hating on each other for what they wear. Well school would be less stressful for them. If we can manage to express ourselves properly while in school then we should not have uniforms.

#8 The Necklace

The necklace is a short story about a woman and how she wants be rich and beautiful more than anything in the world. She finally gets that chance when her husband is invited to a work party. She barrows her friends necklace thats full of diamonds. She loses the necklace and instead of telling her friend about what happen she and her husband give all there money and more to buy her a new necklace to replace the one she lost. After spending everything they had they give her friend back the necklace. To pay off all that they owe on the new necklace. The woman and her husband end up spending the next years working there asses off. One day, years later she runs into her old friend and confesses what had happen. Her friend full of shock said that the necklace she let her barrow was fake and not worth much. The woman was so in shock and blamed her for everthing that she had to go through these last years.

#11 Concrete Rose

Tupacs poem to me means that he come from a place where things do not grow and you stay under the radar and people walk all over you cause of where are you from. It also means that he rose above the expatiations of what people thought of him. He proved those people wrong. He got out of the rough life (concrete) and became something amazing (the rose). He broke through the barrier of the ghetto through a crack in the concrete of life and became something.
I can relate to this poem because I’m from the south valley. For those who don’t know it’s not the best or safest place here in Albuquerque. People in other parts look down on the south valley because of the reputation we have for having a lot of gangs and being ghetto and being the scary place they try to avoid. They look down on us and don’t expect anything from us kids. Are fate is sealed for us, you either go to jail or die. That is not true though most kids that I know from here are so smart and have more potential than anyone. Are life style is just different not because we chose this life but because god gave it to us. We deal with this lifestyle as if it’s nothing to us because it’s all we know. It does not mean we are not capable of becoming something great. In a way we are better and stronger because of the hard life we are given and that makes us stronger. We don’t sit around crying about how life sucks. We just take a deep breath and keep moving because we know everything gets better over time.
We can all become The Rose breaking through the concrete. That’s what Tupac was trying to say. He is telling us if we want to rise above the concrete of our hard lives then we can do it if we really want it.

Its the night when ghost and goblins come out to play for one night only.
When the dead awake and travel the streets of the world they left behind.
Door to door they go tricking and treating to celebrate this one night.

#10Bullying

The essay im gunna write about is the case of Jamie Nabozny who was bullied for being gay. Since Jamie was 7 he knew he was gay,but didnt come forward about his being gay until 7th grade. Thats when things started to go bad. Students from jamies classes started to call him names and soon words turned into actions. Jaime went to high school thinking things would be better and people would forget about him being gay. The exact opposite happened tho. The problem esculated and the bullies went to harshed actions and things got real phyisical. Jaimie ran away, tried commiting suicide and so many other ways out to try to stop the abuse ,because the schools administrators were not protecting him. After he had enough he was given the advice to file a lawsuit and take the people to court who did not stand up for Jamie. This does not just go for gays but for everyone getting bullied. No one should be abused for who they are even if people dont agree with that. All schools need to be a safe haven for kids and schools need to inforce these anti-bully rukes and take them seriously.

Jamie Nabozny from age of seven knew he was gay. The only other person who knew this was his grandmother. Jaime was very secretive about his sexuality. When he was in 7th grade he became open about him being gay. Thats when the trouble started. Children at his school started teasing him and it soon became physical. They were tripping Jamie, hitting him and even throwing objects at him. Jamie was so stressed and afraid of being at school.

One day Jamie went home and went to the bathroom and took alot of pills hoping he would fall asleep and never wake up. Once injesting the pills Jamie became scared and realized he didnt want to die and ran to his mother. His mother rushed Jamie to the hospital quickly were he got his stomache pumped. After that Jamie was checked into a psychiatric hospital. Later after leaving the pyschiatric hospital Jamie returned to his middle school in 8th grade. Things escolated even more and the bulling repeated.

High school. Jamie hoped people would forget about him being gay and just leave him alone and maby fit in this high school enviroment. Well Jamie soon found out he was wrong. The bullies didnt forget. One day while Jamie was using the urinal at school. A group of boys came into the restroom and saw jamie and the bulling started. The boys surrounded Jamie and pushed him into the urinal when another boy started to pee on Jamie. The abuse was on another level. Jamie started hiding with his books at school so that the bullies could not find him. Well one day Jamie didnt hide well enough and the boys found him. One boy approched Jamie and told him to fight him. Jamie told the boy that he would not fight him and he ignored the boys. The boy who wanted to fight him kicked the books Jamie had out of his hands. When jamie bent over to pick up his books the boy repeatlly kicked Jamie in his side. After the beating the boy bent down and whispered to Jamie,"If you tell anybody ill kill you"!.

Frightened from the beating Jamie went home packed his things and ran away. He left a note for his mother explaining he was leaving and never coming back. His parents quickly packed and headed for the big city. They guessed Jamie would be there. Posting "missing" posters on every pole, bus stops and just every where they thought someone who was running away might be. Jamie came upon a shelter and later that day his parents called the shelter looking for him. A lady from the shelter told his parents that he was here and she told Jamie that his parents were going to come visit him. When his parents arrived there was alot of emotions. Jamie hugged his parents and was so happy to see them. His mother said if he came back that they would get him home schooling and he wouldnt have to go back to the high school. Soon after being home his parents told Jamie that they couldnt aford to pay for home schooling. So he returned to the high school.

Jamie ran away again. This time he told his parents to let him stay out there or they would have to wait to see him until he turned 18. With his parents not having much of a choice they let him go. While he was out there it was advised to him that he should file a law suit against the school district. Jamie talked this over with his parents and confirmed that they would go and file the law suit. After the case was dismissed they didint give up and finally the case went to trail. One boy who bullied Jamie confessed all that he and the other boys had done. A parent of another bully also comfirmed she had benn contacted about her son bullying Jamie.

#5 Race in America

Its been nine years since the Twin towers were attacked by the two high jacked planes witch killed thousands of innocent Americans, But America still hasnt fully recoverd from it. Nine years ago the small muslim group of the taliban marked history and destroyed the reputation of the muslim people. Nine years ago we went to war in Afganastan to take out the taliban and nine years later we are still there. Nine years later a muslim community wants to build a mosque near the site where the towers once stood. Should they be allowed to build it? Does the first amandement apply to them? The freedom of religion. Some say no and others yes. What about the burning of the muslim sacred quran? Is the pastor from Florida doing that because of religion or race?

Race. That four letter word causes so many problems all over the world. Its caused problems for African Americans,Mexicans and other hispanics,Whites,Asians and right now the Muslim community. After 9-11 everybody racial profiles muslims or anybody that resembles them. I know because I used to racial profile people like that because I was uneducated about the situation. Now that I know more about what happen and whats going on I dont racial profile. The only reason I did is because I listened to fools who knew nothing and I knew nothing so I thought they were right ,but when I learned the truth my eyes opened to a whole new world and whats happening inside it. If people were educated properly race probably would not excist or as much.

#4Culture Essay

Religion its in everyone and everything. For example the great United States Of America was founded because of religious beliefs. Christianity formed this country. The pledge says "One nation under God" our money says "In God we trust" another example is the ten amendments relate to the ten commandments. Alot of how we run stuff in this country is based on Christian beliefs. Im a christian-Baptist and alot of what goes on in politics is about God and other things in that area , and I can reconize that stuff cause its familiar to me. The first amendment in the Bill of Rights says freedom of religion , but does it really mean that? Did the founding fathers put that there so Christians were safe and could worship how they wanted without getting in trouble? Did they know years later muslims, satanists, and other religions would use that right? Alot of Christians who are high up in politics try twisting that right so other religions cant practice what they want. After 9-11 muslims have been on everybody radar and now they cant build the mosk near the site of the towers. I personaly think they should be allowed to buil it there because one group of people ruined the reputation of the muslim community. so why should others be punished? Alot of people dont think thats a good idea just because of there religion not because of what happen on 9-11. I think different they should be allowed to build it where ever they want. All over the world Everything has to do with religion people just dont notice them.

#2Book Report

picture of my brother Richard Baca

The book I read is called One man's Wilderness by Sam Keith. The story is based on the jounals Richard Proenneke had written from living in the Alasken wilderness for sixteen months. Richard survived off the land and learned many lessons of the difficulties of living in the wild. There is alot of lessons I learned fromthis book and it opened my eyes to alot of things. I really enjoyed this book for two reasons, one because it was really good and second because it was the first chapter book I have ever read in my life. After rading this I im looking forward to reading more books.

Richard Proenneke went into the Alaskan wilderness 100 miles from civilazation with only limited gear only to build a cabin and other materials from the woods. He was taken to his location by his friend Babe who flew him in on one of his bush planes he uses to travel and make deliveries. Babe visits him every couple weeks to check up on him and drop off supplies and mail from family. Richard spends alot of time watching the animals in the area through his spotting scope and takes many pictures. He enjoys the wild and everything it offers. He wonders why people can mistreat the world when its so beautiful and people dont appreciate what the dont notice.

I learned from this book that I should be aware of all natures wonders and just stop and enjoy the world outstanding views. The way hummanity has shaped the earth and all its natural reasources is so crazy when you realize what we have taken and destroyed. More people should take camping trips and take in some of that good mountian air and  stand at a mountian top and see the beauty this world offers, then maby people will realize what they have.

#1My Show And Tell

My most prized possesions that I am going to write about is my guns and my bow. Alot of people would probably think thats stupid and thats there oppinion. The reason for choosing weapons is not for what they do but for what the symbolize. They represent my love for hunting and for being outdoors. The outdoors are probably my life. I love hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and anything to do with the wilderness.I get hated on alot for being a hunter. Its all good though I let people say what they want and if they really are bugging me I have no problem throwing blows with them. So I think guns in my perspective symbolize my freedom to hunt and my passion to do it. Thousands of soldiers died to protect my second amandement to bear arms and im going to honor that right to the fullest.

500 word anything essay

The subject I am choosing to write about is what I did this summer. First off in the beginning of summer I was in a car acciendent and then ran from the cops and went camping and much more. This was a awesome summer probably the best. I hope I have many more summers like this.

It was me my brother richard and my baby nephew in my brothers truck driving down coors. My brother was driving and we were crossing the intersection by central and as we were crossing it a van can rushing to my left and wasnt planning on stopping at the red light. The first thing a thought was my nephew! so I jumped to the back seat and covered my nephew. With half my body guarding my nephew and the rest on the middle consel the inpact came. The van hit my side and it felt like a absorbed the whole thing cause I got thrown too the side and my baby nephew didnt move at all. I kinda freaked out because the truck moved and my brother got a lil shaken up but my lil baby nephew the one who couldnt brace for the inpact was the only one who didnt move didnt even budge! All he did was give me a smile and laugh. My back was in pain but I looked at him and smiled back. I thought too myself what the f*** how did he stay perfectly still and not feel the inpact? I mean im glad he didnt but it was strange. Was it the car seat or me holding him or was it because my brothers truck is so big and lifted? I dont know but I think god was watching over him or something. Anyway the people in the van were ok just a lil blood but nothing to cry over. The cops and paramedics took our info and we left.

It was me my oldest nephew Dante and my lil bro josh. We were hiking in the mountians , it was night by the time we got to the top. We were way up on this mountin when we saw lights down below and we wondered what is was, maby a car or some lights from houses. We didnt pay much attention to it though. After a crazy hike we were back down at the bottom, when suddenly I see this car in the middle of the rode with its lights off! All of a sudden the car starts hualing ass torwards me! With Dante and Josh still behind me about 100 yards I yelled "run!" They saw the car speeding towards me and then it turned on a spot light and had us in sight. Scared out of our minds we took of down the dirt road running as fast as we could not even thinking of looking back. The car coming in fast towards us I thought to myself " why im a running we didnt do nothing wrong?" but that didnt stop me, these mountins are full of crazy people so I kept running. Side by side Dante Josh and me running for our lives. The car was now almost 15 yards from us so I ran off the road into the darkness of the trees and kept running hopeing the guys would follow my lead. I ran until I couldnt see the the spot light and hide under a tree. I could see josh on the other side of the tree hiding and called to him and said "just stay down bro he's coming!" The beam was right on us from the spotting light and I thought we were gonners, but the light kept searching though the trees so I knew he was still looking for us. Josh crawled over to me and we started running back we Josh said "Dante?!" "wheres Dante?!". I had thought dante was with us the whole time I just thought he was keeping quite. We slowly creeped back to retrive our fallen brother when we saw a man standing outside his car with the spotlight in his hand scanning the trees for us. We lowered ourselfes under a tree so we could not be spotted. "Did the man get Dante?" I thought to myself. As we stalked the man seeing if he had Dante, we heard herd a noise to our right. Dante! He was was running right toward us but, he didnt see us lying down. I had to get his attention somehow. So happy to see my nephew uncaptured by the man, I got an adrenaline rush and jumped and and yelled "Dante!". He jumped back scared and when realized it was me he ran towards me and all three of us ren as fast as we could back to house. When we got back we could still see the beam of light patrolling the wilderness up and down the road. We didnt know who it was or why they chased us, but we think it was a cop thinking we were up to no good. anyway whoever it was gave us a hell of a rush.
